The Inner West Light Rail extension feature excellent adaptive re-use of the former Rozelle Goods Line and existing rail corridor
This project extended the Light Rail system from Lilyfield to Dulwich Hill in Inner Western Sydney, along the existing Rozelle Goods Line. Infrastructure works included track works, additional stabling, nine new light rail stops and associated earthworks, electrical, signalling and communications systems, drainage, retaining structures, and landscape and urban design elements. It also included construction of a pedestrian/cycleway bridge over Hawthorne Canal at Richard Murden Reserve
Our role as Environmental Representative was to be the principal point of advice in relation to the environmental performance of the project; to oversee the implementation of all environmental management plans and monitoring programs required under this approval, and advise the Proponent upon achievement of these plans; to consider and advise the Proponent on its compliance obligations against all matters specified in the Conditions of Approval and all other licences and approvals related to the environmental performance and impacts of the project.
