Each year, cases of sickness or death are reported from exposure to Legionella pneumophila with Legionella infections in susceptible individuals caused by the inhalation of water aerosols containing the bacteria. HBI has, for a number of years, provided our clients with water testing of cooling towers which provides clients with results independent from those received from their Cooling Tower chemical providers.
HBI currently undertakes both primary and secondary water testing for a number of clients. With our certified cooling tower auditors, HBI can easily interpret test results, and have implemented risk based approaches for either the detection of Legionella, and/or high Heterotrophic Plate Counts.
HBI currently undertakes risk management plans for a large National client. This includes the mandatory risk management plans and the subsequent auditing of these plans throughout Victoria. Our qualified auditors develop plans that satisfy all legislative requirements or audit plans to ensure compliance with Victorian Health guidelines.
