As part of the NSW Government’s plans to free up the congestion experienced on the NSW rail network, this Clearway’s project was initiated to provide capability for rolling stock to return to the Sydney CBD increasing service reliability….
The Project involved the design and construction of a rail turnback facility and associated works at Revesby Station on the East Hills Line in Sydney. Construction activities included construction of car park, drainage works around Little Salt Pan Creek, earthworks stations and and bridgeworks at main roads, removal of the pedestrian footbridge over the rail and the erection of its replacement, works on and around the Revesby station including the new platform, and construction of turnout, track and overhead wiring, signalling and rail systems.
As Environmental Representative HBI provided structured compliance management as required by the Part 5 project consent. HBI assisted with the scoping and delivery of studies, plans, and other tasks required to satisfy the required approval conditions, including design, construction and operational environmental management plans and work method statements. This included the development and implementation of a well structured, pro-active, communications strategy to promote involvement and education of stakeholders.
